Mercy is when God alleviates what we deserve from our lives. Grace is when God applies what Jesus deserves to our lives. Our mistakes are never too great for God to conquer. 

The motivation for book of Galatians came from Jewish Christians who believed ceremonial practices of the Old Testament were still binding on the New Testament believers. They insisted that Gentile converts to Christianity abide by certain Old Testament rites, especially circumcision. 

If we merely get people to attend church but don’t effectively make disciples we are only contributing to greater problem of disillusionment in our society.

Fairly often I like to rehearse what I believe to be most significant ministry framework known to man. I know it is a grand statement to make but the more I walk with Jesus the more deeply convicted I become about the simple and powerful table.

Have you ever sent somebody a text message and they didn’t text you back? Then later they needed something so they send you a text putting their request on top of your text as a visual that they neglected you but now want something? This can be frustrating in any relationship. I wonder if this is how God feels when we are only interested in talking to him about our agenda but when he wants us to embrace his agenda we’re not responsive.

However far you’ve gone with God there is more! God desires you to be hungry, expecting and even desperate.

What is Love? Love is an awakened lifestyle. This is a lifestyle of embracing God’s love for us and expressing this awakened love in our lives for others.

He calls you! He loves you! He keeps you! As you read this pause to embrace the reality that you have the call of God on your life! Have you ever had anybody tell you that personally? How impactful is it for your somebody to tell you personally that you have a call of God on your life? How much more powerful is it for God to tell you this?! God says right here in his Word that you have a call of God on your life! Receive that!

Have you ever read over a portion of Scripture and sensed something deeply significant about the passage? Sometimes when I sense this I rehearse the passage over and over by reading it, memorizing it, meditating on key words or phrases and pausing at different places as I look over the text. This is what I want to do as a church family over the next four weeks together in the Word. As Christmas approaches the very famous passage of the Bible in Isaiah will be central in many churches.
