The house of God is the gate of heaven. You were born to be a gateway for the King! We are moving from merely having a Christian label pursuing a Christian life.

If you have surrendered to Christ, then this Risen King is wherever you are because the Risen King exists within you.

Ephesians 1:23 The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ's body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence. MSG
The Great Commission is not to grow churches or even to produce Christians. The Great Commission is to MAKE DISCIPLES.
The church of our generation has hired corporate professionals to come in and help learn how to build and grow quickly. It is quicker to build a house with no foundation. It’s cheaper to build a house with no foundation. No wise builder would consider such a thing. Jesus is the wise Master builder. That which is less expensive leaves you less effective. It costs what it costs, and it never goes on sale. It is expensive to be effective.
Cheap Church sells well because celebration is easier than substance.
If you have a birthday party for your child, the people who are genuinely interested in a relationship will come to celebrate and be with him/her. If you rent out a gaming center offering pizza, free tokens, cake and punch you’ll fill the center. If you say to your child, “Look at all these people who came to be with you!”; it would be a ludicrous thing to say. Isn’t this basically what we do with God in the Western world church?
By trying to keep everyone interested and excited, we’ve created a cheap substitute for devotion! Focusing our attention on what people want, only increases the amount of complaining when we can’t meet their desires. If its 11pm and your child asks for a latte because they are tired you tell them to go to bed. Sleep is what they need. Coffee is what they want. Too often we have given people what they ask for rather than what they need. There are times when the most loving thing we can do is teach people that joy will come only when they stop screaming for attention and save their voices for the throne.
I am not interested in giving the next decade of my life to managing well the decline of the western world church. I want to give our children, our grandchildren and our great grandchildren a church that is better than the way we found it, relationally, theologically, financially and in every way because it is ALL ABOUT JESUS. The church is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all. The Risen King is in the room!
God is at work activating the bride of Christ in fascinating ways right now. When it is time for the bride to step forward you notice a different song. There is a different sound God is releasing, and it is time for the bride to step forward.
