faith, hope and love

Our Statement of Essential Beliefs

In essential beliefs, we hold to the principle of distinction without division, fostering unity as taught in Ephesians 4:4-6.
In non-essential beliefs, we embrace liberty, recognizing the freedom described in Romans 14:1, 4, and 12.
In all our beliefs, we are committed to maintaining love toward one another, as emphasized in 1 Corinthians 13:2.

About God

We believe that in the beginning, God created the world and all things within it out of nothing, manifesting the glory of His power, wisdom, and goodness. By His sovereign power, He continues to sustain His creation, and through His providence, He operates throughout history to fulfill His redemptive purposes. About Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is both true God and true man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. References: Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:25-38; Romans 9:5; Titus 2:13

About the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity, was sent into the world by the Father and the Son to apply the saving work of Christ to humanity. He enlightens the minds of sinners, awakens their need for a Savior, and regenerates them. At the point of salvation, the Holy Spirit permanently indwells every believer, providing assurance, strength, and wisdom, and uniquely equipping each believer with gifts for ministry. The Holy Spirit guides believers in understanding and applying Scripture. By faith, His power and control enable believers to live a life of Christ-like character and bear fruit to the glory of the Father. About Man

We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin, thereby incurring both physical death and spiritual death, which is separation from God. All human beings are born with a sinful nature and become guilty sinners in thought, word, and deed. References: Genesis 1:26-27; 3:1-24; Romans 3:25; 5:12-18; 1 John 1:8

About the Bible

We believe that the Bible is the verbally and plenarily inspired Word of God, inerrant in its original manuscripts. It serves as our supreme and final authority in faith and life. References: 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21

About Salvation

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice. He rose victorious from the grave on the third day, and all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood. We believe that all who come by grace through repentance and faith to accept the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and become children of God. About the Church

We believe in one true universal Church, comprised of all who acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Scripture commands believers to gather together for worship, prayer, teaching of the Word, observance of baptism and Communion (as ordained by Jesus Christ), fellowship, service to one another through the use of talents and gifts, and outreach to the world. We believe that wherever God’s people meet regularly in obedience to this command, there is a local expression of the Church. Under the guidance of Pastors and other supportive leadership, members are to work together in love and unity with the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ. References: Hebrews 10:24-25; Acts 2:42-47

About Christ's Return

We believe in the personal and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ. References: Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

About Baptism

We believe that water baptism by immersion is the Biblical testimony of a professed believer. Baptism symbolizes the believer’s identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection, and is carried out in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. References: Acts 2:28-41, 47; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 8:36-40; 10:47; 18:8; Romans 6:3-4; 1 Corinthians 12:13
