ENRICHED BY GOD

(Enriched by God + Generous like Jesus = make the world a better place.)

2 Cor 9:11 You will be enriched in every way so you can be generous on every occasion... NIV

1 Cor 1:5 For in him you have been enriched in every way—with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge. NIV

What does it mean to be enriched? There is uranium and there is enriched uranium. Ordinary uranium isn’t used in nuclear bombs. Enriched uranium is used to make nuclear bombs.

This is uranium that has been added to, enriched, sooped up and is concentrated. There is more uranium per square inch than there was before.

In Christ we have been added too, concentrated, sooped up and enriched.  When we are enriched by God to more effectively fulfill God’s purposes in the earth! You have been added to and are enriched by God! There is more God per square inch in you than ever before!!!

2 Cor 5:17 You have been made new in Christ.

1 Cor 2:16 You have the mind of Christ = access to God’s thoughts about any and every situation!

1 Cor 6:17 You have been united with God and are connected to His purposes!
Rom 10:8 You have God’s words in your mouth.

Phil 4:13 - You can do all things when you are in Christ.

Jesus took ordinary you and ordinary me, and He enriched us for his service! We are now dangerous! This room is full of Holy Ghost power ready to blast through utter darkness proclaiming this powerful light – setting the captives free!!!

You are enriched by God! Our focus tends to be on what we want rather than what we have. God’s focus tends to be on what we do with what we have.

God knew how materialistic the world would become. God knew that you and I would live in a generation inundated with materialism and he reveals a plan to break spiritual materialism in your life. Tithes, Offerings & sacrifices have always been part of God’s definition of worship. The rhythm of sacrificial routine gathering, serving, living & giving together as a church family is incredibly healthy to your life!

Mark 12:41-44 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents. 43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything — all she had to live on.” NIV

The true cost of discipleship isn’t about how much you give but how much of what you have is given. Giving from surplus isn’t a sacrifice and God views it as a lesser gift.

GOING DEEPER:

We must learn to embrace all God has entrusted to our care and sacrificially devote ourselves to the greater purposes of God! We truly are enriched by God in so many ways!

“For in him you have been enriched in every way--in all your speaking and in all your knowledge“ 1 Corinthians 1:5

There is no area in your life that God wants to remain barren. He wants every place to prosper, your health, your finances, your social networking, your creativity, your emotions, your plans – everything.

He has enriched our minds. “For in him you have been enriched in every way--in all your speaking and in all your knowledge —“ 1 Corinthians 1:5

This is really only possible through the reading of God’s word. It’s by putting all that wonderful knowledge into us that will make us rich. It empowers us to do great things and draws us closer to Jesus.

“Through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures. A wise man has great power, and a man of knowledge increases strength;” Proverbs 24:4-5

Through knowledge its rooms are filled with all sorts of precious riches and valuables. The wise are mightier than the strong, and those with knowledge grow stronger and stronger. (New Living Bible)

Our thinking has been enriched by the addition of scripture. Not only in knowledge are we enriched, but in out speaking too. He has enriched our words.
“For in him you have been enriched in every way--in all your speaking … 1 Corinthians 1:5

Christ has given us new words to speak and has enriched our vocabulary, especially after we have been filled with the Holy Spirit, for the Spirit is our Teacher and He gives us a new language as well. God is now there to help you in every way; talk about being enriched. “I speak in tongues more than you all.” My vocabulary has been enriched. I can now pray the will of God and be edified from within. I can also pray for revelation after speaking this new language and have God speak to my spirit. Talk about having nuclear fuel.

“And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.” Luke 12:11-12

Peter was really enriched, for he denied Christ on the eve of His death and yet 50 days later after being filled, saturated and enriched by the Holy Spirit he uttered words that  led 3000 to Christ and the infilling of the Spirit.

“Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd:…..When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.” With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.”  Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.” Acts 2:14, 37-40

Talk about someone being enriched. You can do all things in Christ for you have been enriched by Him in every way. Amen.
