Jesus didn’t just come to show up. He came to awaken the purposes of God in our hearts. Without God’s purposes our lives lack meaning.
We need a word from God to enlarge us beyond the borders of confining circumstances. Greater is he that is in you..!!! Something in you drives you to a deeper purpose & greater cause!
Luke 2:17-19 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.
It’s interesting that the shepherds didn’t focus on their spectacular experience. So many times we get distracted from Jesus by focusing on some experience God has provided. Like the shepherds we must focus on Christ!
Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. Something powerful is awakened within us when we treasure and ponder the things of God in our hearts.
Mary had this incredible experience with God where she was exposed to an idea from God. We need a word from God to enlarge us beyond the borders of confining circumstances.
Luke 1:31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. NIV
Conception comes from the root word concept. The angel explained the concept and she then had to wrestle it through to get there.
Luke 1:34 "How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?” NIV
We all need further explanation of the supernatural concepts God reveals. God is always so patient and so faithful to continue the conversation to awaken within our hearts what needs to be awakened within us.
Luke 1:38 “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.”
Without the concepts of God we are confined to our own human conclusions. What we need is Jesus!

Interestingly the word, “word” here is derived from the Greek word, “logos” from which we get our word, “logic”. Jesus is the embodied logic of God who came to save the world. Obviously God sent his ideas embodied in Jesus to rescue us. This means our greatest problems are idea problems.
Great ideas have the power to move us. Bad ideas have the power to ruin us. God ideas have the power to transform our lives and the lives of those around us!
God reveals concepts and when we treasure them pondering them in our hearts His supernatural abilities are released in our lives. Jesus came so God could enlarge us beyond the borders of confining circumstances by awakening God’s eternal purposes in our lives
