Biblical intelligence is about growing in the knowledge of God through the reading and study of God’s Word. Biblical intelligence produces relational intelligence and as we’ve learned over these past few weeks financial intelligence.
Our goal in this season has been to increase in wisdom with a focus on personal finance. Again, I suggest you look at resources we have available on our website.
Proverbs 8:10-21 “Take my instruction rather than [seeking] silver, And take knowledge rather than choicest gold, 11 “For wisdom is better than rubies; And all desirable things cannot compare with her. 12 “I, [godly] wisdom, reside with prudence [good judgment, moral courage and astute common sense], And I find knowledge and discretion. 13 “The [reverent] fear and worshipful awe of the Lord includes the hatred of evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way, And the perverted mouth, I hate. 14 “Counsel is mine and sound wisdom; I am understanding, power and strength are mine. 15 “By me kings reign And rulers decide and decree justice. 16 “By me princes rule, and nobles, All who judge and govern rightly. 17 “I love those who love me; And those who seek me early and diligently will find me. 18 “Riches and honor are with me, Enduring wealth and righteousness (right standing with God). 19 “My fruit is better than gold, even pure gold, And my yield is better than choicest silver. 20 “I, [Wisdom, continuously] walk in the way of righteousness, In the midst of the paths of justice, 21 That I may cause those who love me to inherit wealth and true riches, And that I may fill their treasuries. Godly wisdom is better than earthly treasure. Applying Godly wisdom to earthly treasure produces eternal treasure and heavenly reward (Matthew 6:20). We aren’t supposed to wait until we get to heaven to experience it, your Kingdom come your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Rabbi Daniel Lapin, “It is no coincidence that every country rooted in atheism is a place where it’s inhabitants have to stand in line for food.” IDEAS MATTER.
Biblically impoverished people live poorly constructed lives.
There was a little boy who had a lot of marbles and a little girl who had a lot of candy. One day she says to him if you give me all the marbles, I’ll give you all my candy. He said he wanted to think about so he went back to his room to take the nicest marble from his bag and stuffs it under his pillow. He brings the rest of the marbles back, giving them to her. She gives him all the candy. He makes the trade. That night she’s sound asleep he’s tossing and turning with the question in his mind, “I wonder if she gave me all the candy.”
We are designed by God to live free from the distress we inflict on ourselves when we violate these principles that point us to true life. This is why we are so intentional about trying to get people into the Word of God!
Biblically impoverished people live poorly constructed lives. Biblically empowered people live thriving, flourishing lives.
Rabbi Daniel Lapin observed, “Prosperous Nations in our world are those nations that sprang forth from pages of scripture.”
Biblical civilization has given us scientists who were driven to know their God, and this is why Biblical civilization gave us most of the inventions on the planet.
