Jesus didn’t just come to show up. He came to awaken the purposes of God in our hearts. Without God’s purposes our lives lack meaning.

God awakens things within us to transform the world around us. God isn’t just working to transform the world of our generation but generations to come!

Jesus didn’t die so we could merely go to church. Martin Luther said, “A religion that gives nothing, costs nothing, and suffers nothing, is worth nothing.”

Attitudes are contagious!!! God’s guidelines for Israel in preparing for war involved addressing and removing toxic attitudes of fear.

We are down to the final 40 days of 2017! 40 days is roughly 10% of the year.  As we enter into the final 10% of the year I want to challenge you with something. I’ve had to check myself at times for rationalizing giving 90% in situations and not pressing through to the very end.

The world within you has the power to change the world around you. As we have been talking about loving, serving and giving we have gone deeper to explore what is going on within.

It is God's plan for you to live a flourishing life! God wants to awaken the things of the spirit in your life! He is a God who awakens things within us to change the world around us.  Giving is not as much of an action as it is an attitude that comes from within.

God’s plan is for you to have the most amazing life you could ever imagine but there is the catch. It’s not his plan for you to pursue an amazing life for yourself. His plan is for you to provide an amazing life for others. In doing so you will discover the most amazing life you could ever imagine.

If we’re not careful we simply go through the Jesus motions without ever becoming the Jesus movement he’s called us to be. Over these next few weeks we are going to focus on God’s call for us to be the Jesus movement to our generation. God is going to activate something within us to take us to another dimension of loving, serving and giving.

Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of lords. He is the Alpha and Omega, The Beginning and the End. He is coming again as He is The One who makes all things new.

Rev 1:18 I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive forever and ever!...

It is very common for the book of Revelation to strike fear in our hearts as we begin thinking about the apocalyptic nature of these writings. However, this is not what God intended.

Jude is Jesus’ half brother. He got right to the point in this brief letter. People in the church were rejecting authority and self-absorbed. False teachers were leading the people astray. Jude wanted to encourage Christians to stand firm in the faith and fight for the truth. Jude’s declaration was to stand strong and let God’s goodness in your life be the prevailing story of encouragement to others.

The most commonly loved phrases people love to hear are "I love you," "You’re forgiven" and "Let’s eat!"
