You walk into your home in a way that is different from the way you walk into any other home. In your home you have a sense of an order you prefer. In somebody else’s home you wouldn’t rearrange their furniture. Where you live speaks of where you have authority. This is your domain. Domain and dominion have multiple related meanings. Your domain speaks of a place you rightfully occupy like your house, your yard, your office, etc.

We must purpose to live our lives in light of eternity allowing God’s priorities to shape our perpsectives!

We are created to behold the eternal perspective of God. When we do this it changes our world from the inside out.

If we are to take Jesus to be a serious thinker we must see the flow of His argument and not reduce His teaching to soundbites. We want truth and not tweets.

If you don’t understand who you truly are you’ll live with a deep sense of insecurity that will drive you to minimize others in efforts to validate yourself. This is why I want to talk to you about SYNCOPATION.

What comes to mind when you think about the word, “argument?” Typically it is something negative. The fact is arguments can be negative and they can be positive because they are born from deep seeded conclusions that exist within our lives. Good arguments can keep us from bad decisions. Bad arguments lead to bad decisions.

In this season we are addressing how only God’s love can reach deeply enough into our souls to restore our lives. This is the place where we begin finding confidence and strength to love God and to love others as we love ourselves because we have learned to love ourselves.

It is the ability to receive God’s embrace that empowers us to embrace others.

Which disciple betrayed Jesus? Most people immediately go to Judas. This is true but Peter also betrayed Jesus. The difference is that Judas never recovered from his mistake while Peter rebounded in grace and strength.

He who knows us the best loves us the most. When we truly understand God fully sees us, fully knows us and fully loves us it will change our lives!

1 John 3:16-24We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters 17 If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person? 18 Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions. 19 Our actions will show that we belong to the truth, so we will be confident when we stand before God. 20 Even if we feel guilty, God is greater than our feelings, and he knows everything. 21 Dear friends, if we don’t feel guilty, we can come to God with bold confidence. 22 And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him. 23 And this is his commandment: We must believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as he commanded us. 24 Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us. TLB

Studies show that 2/3 of all people on a first date tell lies. Men most commonly lie about wealth and success while women most commonly lie about age and occupation. Why is lying up front so common? The common progression is to hide the real you long enough so they love you just enough to keep from turning back.
